Irish for Primary Teaching

Maths Grinds Mallow offers a one-year part-time course in Leaving Cert. Higher Level Irish. It is specifically designed for students who wish to gain entry to Teacher Training College to become primary school teachers.

This course is perfectly suitable for mature students or students repeating the Leaving Certificate with the course being taught by an experienced and qualified teacher. Our expert teacher is also an experienced corrector of state examinations and oral examinations giving them expert insight into marking schemes and exam technique. 

All aspects of the course are covered in order to meet the minimum requirement of a H4 in higher level Irish. A strong emphasis is placed on the oral component of the exam as it is worth 40% of the final grade. Our teacher is a current oral examiner and corrector of the state examinations giving expert insight into exam technique and where marks are gained and lost.
